Road Trip Wales – There is much to discover

Llandudno – popular seaside resort
Perhaps start your trip with some sunbathing on the beach. Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales. The beach is huge, and the cliffs rising behind it exert a special charm. But it is also worth to stroll over the late Victorian pier. You’d hardly believe it was damaged by fire in 1994, so beautifully has it been restored.
If you’re still in the mood for some shopping on your way out, it’s a good idea to head to Mostyn Street. The multitude of beautiful shops makes it easy to choose.
Conwy – Journey to the Past

Well rested, the journey can begin. Conwy is the destination. A medieval town like something out of a picture book awaits you here. The town wall including the 3 town gates and the 22 towers is still completely preserved. Stroll through the narrow streets of the town centre and let yourself be carried away into the past.
The castle is also worth a visit. It was commissioned by Edward I back in the 13th century. It is quite well preserved, only the great hall has a small shortcoming. Here the roof is missing.
Bangor – Experience Welsh Culture

Continue on to Bangor. In the museum there you can inform yourself extensively about the Welsh history. You should not miss to visit the cathedral. It was probably founded as early as 548.
In Bangor you can also have your lunch. We recommend the Tab and Spile, a quaint pub. The food is simple but typical and well prepared. The portions are large.
Caernarfon – beach and medieval flair

The last point of the trip Caernarfon. The picturesque seaside resort attracts with great beaches. In the village center you can stroll through medieval alleys. The castle should also be visited. The foundation stone was laid in 1283, 37 years later the castle was finished. It is one of the best preserved medieval fortifications in Europe. You should take a few hours to see everything.
After so much Welsh history, you’re allowed a historic hotel. We recommend the Black Boy Inn. The hotel was built in 1522, making it one of the oldest Inns in North Wales. The rooms are lovingly furnished and exude the charm of old times. There is also no shortage of good restaurants in Caernarfon. If you don’t want to eat in the hotel, try Gors Bach. Here you can get good steaks at fair prices. While you wait for your meal, you can plan the next stops on your road trip through Wales at your leisure.
